Governement Engineering College, Idukki was set up in the year 2000 by the Government of Kerala. It offers admission to four undergraduate B.Tech Degree courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Information Technology.
The College is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University and is approved by the AICTE to conduct undergraduate cousrses in the above streams.
